Located in Jefferson Parish County ten miles to the West of New Orleans is the town of Kenner, Louisiana. Kenner has its own hospital, the Ochsner Medical Center, which opened in 1985. The facility has a nationally renowned Neuroendocrine Tumor Program, as well as an expanded and renovated Level II Emergency Room. Kenner is the home of Louis Armstrong International Airport, which is known for the beautiful artwork that can be seen throughout its walkways and terminals. Louis Armstrong International is currently undergoing renovations to improve its facilities even more for travelers. Traveling to New Orleans and other nearby towns is made easy by Kenner’s convenient access to I-10 and U.S. Highway 61.
